In a coordinated attack with its allied militias linked to the terrorist Islamic Movement, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) launched a brutal assault last night, targeting civilian homes in the area of Amriya, west of Omdurman. This heinous assault resulted in the deaths of 48 innocent civilians, the majority of whom were women and children, with many others left severely injured. The aftermath was marked by widespread destruction and horrific scenes of charred bodies.
These massacres, marked by the deliberate targeting of civilians in Amriya and surrounding areas, constitute war crimes and acts of genocide, as evidenced by documented reports. These atrocities add to the already long list of brutal crimes committed by the SAF against the people of Sudan.
We urgently call on the international community, human rights organizations, and all humanitarian bodies to publicly condemn this barbaric attack on civilian neighborhoods, executed under the orders of SAF commanders and their terrorist allies.
We urge all Sudanese citizens, community leaders, and the families of the victims to pursue legal action in response to these horrific airstrikes. Bringing those responsible for these crimes to justice is a crucial step toward accountability.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) reaffirms its commitment to the liberation of Sudan from the terror-driven former regime and the influence of the Islamic Movement. We remain dedicated to freeing the SAF from terrorist control and ensuring the future of a just and democratic Sudan.
